There are many more facets to the acting world than are generally realized. Actors are required for a incredible range of projects spanning infomercials to commercials, big screen to television, characters in amusement parks to stage performers and animation vocalizations to puppeteers. There are a great many opportunities for a variety of female voice over talents.

Because one of the rare times the audience actually becomes aware of what the actor looks like is when that thespian happens to be an established star, this niche is not generally the first one to come to mind. The individual's appearance is far less important than their acting acuity and vocal skill range. Such jobs can be found in multiple markets and in a variety of styles.

Actors choosing this field often start working at the local level which are projects that are generally confined to a very localized viewing area such as a few close counties. Hundreds of these roles are heard every day, though most people do not even think about the acting abilities they require. With so many unique character personalities to fill, the pool of skilled actors must consist of a variety of sounds. Every style is needed, including high voices and low ones, sweetly soothing vocals as well as those that are roughly gruff, casual and unique.

Many advertising campaigns, such as those used for TV commercials and infomercials, call for actors who possess impressive vocal skills. These are also utilized in many ads used on the internet to garner business from those browsing the web. Although commonly overlooked, this genre includes productions like the announcements made prior to a feature film showing and during the theatrical trailers.

Animated characters get their personality through an actor's ability to express a variety of emotions through the use of speech only. Many television programs and big screen films have a need for pure vocal skills as well. Though not usually the first thing one thinks of when this genre is mentioned, narrating audiobooks is completely reliant on these performers.

Securing a position in this field take a lot more than just walking into a production office and wowing them with spectacular sounding speech. Many actors find that hiring coaches to improve their vocal and acting skills to be most helpful. A high quality sample recording and a well done resume' should be submitted to as many agencies as possible.

All those with feminine sounding voices who wish to use those skills in a professional capacity can find many opportunities. As long as one has an appropriate sound, clear enunciation and the ability to effectively convey emotions and moods simply using vocalization, the prospects may be quite positive. Packages containing a professional resume' and quality sample CD will need to be prepared and submitted to multiple agencies that deal with one's chosen performance level.
